Dan is a senior member of ARENA’s business development team who is responsible for ARENA’s investments in storage. Dan has worked on a large number of large-scale battery projects as well as ARENA’s two VPP projects in South Australia. Dan was also responsible for managing ARENA’s large-scale solar PV competitive funding round in 2016, which ultimately supported 12 projects.

Abstract Overview:
ARENA has invested more than $100m across over 30 projects in the storage sector. In addition to supporting grid-connected storage and residential VPPs, ARENA is also seeking to assist businesses implement storage solutions to complement renewable generation on the customer side of the meter.  ARENA is currently supporting the REALM project, which is a feasibility study by ISF working with A2EP to demonstrate how optimally integrating on-site renewables, storage and energy productivity can reduce business costs and emissions, while simultaneously supporting the network. The REALM project is analysing the opportunity across a number of C&I customers across various industies.
