Investing in Australia’s Energy Storage Market
Simon Brooker is an Executive Director of Corporate and Project Finance at the Clean Energy Finance Corporation. Simon has had lead responsibility for a number of the CEFC’s renewable energy investments, including the Moree Solar Farm, the refinancing of the Macarthur Windfarm and the delivery of loan facilities for Origin and SunEdison. Prior to joining the CEFC, Simon held senior roles with Transfield Holdings, focusing on investments in social infrastructure and renewable energy. Before joining Transfield, he worked for 14 years in investment banking at Macquarie Bank and Bankers Trust, leading a variety of asset based financing, structured finance and infrastructure financing transactions.
Simon will discuss the outlook of commercial and utility energy storage in Australia from an investors perspective. His presentation will cover the financial opportunities and barriers in the sector, and will touch on a variety of investments made by the CEFC.
