Simon Hackett is a non-executive director and major investor in ASX-listed energy storage specialist Redflow Limited (ASX:RFX), the Australian company that has developed the world’s smallest zinc-bromine flow batteries. Redflow’s unique flow batteries are designed for stationary energy storage applications ranging from its ZCell home battery to its scalable ZBM2 batteries for industrial, commercial, telecommunications and grid-scale deployment. Simon is an experienced technology entrepreneur and investor who established ISP Internode in 1991, building the business into Australia’s largest privately-owned broadband provider before selling it to iiNet in 2012. Simon subsequently served as a director for iiNet Limited and NBN Co before joining the Redflow Limited board in 2014. Simon has actively invested in a range of innovative Australian technology businesses, including his Adelaide-based firm Base64.
